Coffee brings...

..A rather sudden end to Ian's beloved keyboard. Clearly his heartache caused his play to suffer as he narrowly managed to avoid a whitewashing, instead losing two from three.

No excuses!

I have none (for once), but Ian could and probably should have won 3-0 today, instead clinching the day by two frames to one.

Mondays bring doom and gloom..

...for Ian.

The first two frames could have gone both ways, but I managed to clinch them both, leaving Ian scratching his head and then potting the black in the third frame. But about ten minutes earlier than needed :)

Ears and cueing

Okay, so is it possible that having an ear infection can cause your pool to go dramatically downhill? I wouldn't have thought so either. But, today my ear infection started kicking off again and my pool was DREADFUL. I couldn't cue straight and so my potting was dire. Ian should probably have taken all three games, but I managed some outrageously lucky shots and really should have taken two from three!

The mythical ceiling of doom

It's really rather depressing. We've been ocvered by the Mythical Ceiling of Doom (cloud) for the last 3 days solidly. There hasn't been any sunshine, it's constantly looked like we're in the Artic Circle and it's just dark. Although it does get darker in the evenings, which makes it even more enjoyable.

Some sunshine would be nice, please?

Day 2 on the Plusnet pool table

The second day of the series managed to produce the same result as yesterdays, although under slightly different circumstances. I'd managed to regain some lost form and could easily have taken a sweep if it wasn't for some quality safety play from Ian.

Ian's off on holiday now though, so there won't be a chance to even up until next week.

The pool battle recommences!

Ian and I had a fairly long standing pool battle that we'd have at work lunchtimes. For one reason or another, we managed to stop doing them (although I was winning at the time) so we decided it was a good idea to start things up again!

We started off with Ian playing fairly well and myself playing abysmally, with no excuses I could come up with, but ended with Ian taking the first and me taking the second and third.
